So finally its cherry blossom time...

Japan's national flower is "Sakura", the Cherry Blossom. The school year begins around April, when the sakura blossoms. Also, this is the starting point for jobs, or tv series, which will go through the whole next year if successful.

A traditional activity during cherry blossom time is to do Hanami. That means, "observating the flowers", although what Japanese people usually do is a picnic with O~sake in which they laugh together with friends.

I was able to do hanami, and it was so much fun! Japanese people really do like drinking, although after just a few sips of beer their faces start glowing haha it is easy to spot drunk people here!

By the way, you might have heard that in Japan people remove their shoes before entering their houses or temples, right? Well, they remove their shoes in order to get on the hanami sitting~piece~of~cloth as well.

Because it is April, almost every girl wears some clothing item with a flower pattern on. I wonder how long will that last? A friend told me that fades here are replaced monthly, I'll write again when that happens. Perhaps, during the rainy season the fashionable patterns will be of rain drops or umbrellas...

I really hope for the warmth to come, とても寒いですよ!!!
